About the BandRoads Less Traveled consists of lead singer and guitarist Sierra Juarez and drummer and percussionist Eric Standridge. Occasionally we will have a guest bassist. We play a wide variety of music, from jazz and blues to classic rock to country. Together, Sierra and Eric can improvise just about any style of music and if we don't know a song, we are usually willing to give it a go. We have been performing together since 2019 and have performed at both large and small venues.
Sierra Juarez has a voice like no other. She began singing as a child and soon learned how to play a number of instruments. Since then, she's performed in churches, civic events, and in a variety of venues. In addition to singing, Sierra is also a songwriter, and is trained as a sound tech and disk jockey. Eric Standridge began as a jazz musician back in 1992, first playing for his school jazz band in Florida before moving on to becoming a regular at places such as the Quarter Note Cafe in Ft. Meyers. He played jazz and blues up until 2001 when he moved to Chicago. In Chicago, he continued playing in small clubs downtown before finally "retiring" from the music scene. After hearing Sierra at the Poteau Artist Cooperative, he decided to pick up the sticks again. Additionally, he has been doing disk jockey work since 1996, as well as working as an event promoter and civic preservationist. |
